A chic, easy-to-wear accessory to knit with just one ball!
Description
Like a riverbed where polished pebbles can be glimpsed between the sun's shimmer, this pretty lace pattern alternates with double ribbing to create a delicate, wearable accessory.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
approx 30 cm / 11.8’’ wide (60 cm / 23.6’’ circumference) and approx 25 cm / 9.8’’ high
YARN & YARDAGE:
1 ball of De Rerum Natura Bérénice (55% super kid mohair / 25% silk / 20% organic Arles merino; 210 m / 25 g) or approximately 175 m / 191 yds of similar «lace» weight yarn.
The sample pictured is knitted in Bérénice in the "goéland" colour.
GAUGE:
18 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm / 4’’ in lace pattern knitted with main needles and measured after blocking.
It‘s not crucial to get the exact gauge for this pattern, just make sure you like the fabric you get and adjust the needle size if necessary. Bear in mind that significant differences in tension and gauge can alter the final measurements and the amount of yarn required.
NEEDLES:
4.5 mm / US 7 circular needles with a cable length of 40 cm /16’’ for the main part
5 mm / US 8 circular needles (or a larger size than the main needles) with a cable length of 40 cm /16’’ for cast-on and bind-off.
