Description
“Minna no Sweater" - Sweater for everyone in Japanese - is a simple, comfortable sweater worked from the top down, and looks great on everyone regardless of age or gender, and in any color!
This pattern is available in 16 sizes: 4 sizes for children and 12 sizes for adults as well as a men's version with extended body and sleeve measurements for adult sizes 4 to 12. The body and sleeve lengths can be modified as desired (please note that the required amount of yarn will change).
This design has been created with great attention to detail, so that it fits perfectly, and special attention has been paid to accompanying its realization with diagrams to help visualize the more technical steps. It will be a good introduction to seamless knitting for those just starting out, and a relaxing and satisfying project for others!
NOTE ON THE CONSTRUCTION: The Minna no sweater starts at the neck and is worked back and forth until the neck shaping is completed — you can choose here the “back neck drop option” using short rows. After the fronts are joined, the yoke is worked in the round to the underarms with raglan increases. The sleeves are then separated and the body is knit in the round to the hem, and the sleeves are knit in the round to the cuff. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neck and the neckband is worked in ribbing.
