CONSTRUCTION
This sweater is knitted seamlessly from the collar, starting with a tubular cast-on. The shoulders are shaped using short rows, then the sleeves are placed on hold and the lower body is knitted in the round with a hem finished with a tubular bind-off. The sleeve stitches are picked up and knitted in the round.

SIZES

Finished chest circumference: 38 (42, 46, 50, 54) (58, 62, 66, 70)” [95 (105, 115, 125, 135) (145, 155, 165, 175) cm].
Choose a size with approx. 8-10” [20-25 cm] of positive ease. Sample knitted in size 4.
YARN:
- 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) (7, 8, 8, 8) skeins of Ulysse by De Rerum Natura (100% Merino Wool; 202 yds [180 m] / 50g) or approx. 920 (1000, 1090, 1180, 1270) (1360, 1440, 1520, 1610) yds [840 (915, 1000, 1080, 1160) (1240, 1320, 1390, 1470) m] of sport weight yarn. Sample shown in color "poivre et sel".
held together with :
- 4 (5, 5, 6, 6) (6, 7, 7, 7) skeins of Bérénice by De Rerum Natura (55% Super Kid Mohair, 25% Silk, 20% Wool; 230
yds [210 m] / 25g). Approx. 920 (1000, 1090, 1180, 1270) (1360, 1440, 1520, 1610) yds [840 (915, 1000, 1080, 1160) (1240, 1320, 1390, 1470) m] of lace weight yarn. Sample shown in color "orgeat".
GAUGE:
18 sts and 24 rows = 4” [10 cm] on larger needles in Stockinette stitch, after blocking.
Before you measure, please take the time to wash and block your swatch in the same manner that you will wash and block your sweater.
NEEDLES:
US 6 [4 mm] and US 7 [4.5 mm] circular needles, 32” [80 cm] long, and dpns in each size if not using magic loop method for short circumference knitting.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
NOTIONS:
Stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle.
TECHNIQUES USED AND SKILL LEVEL
This pattern is at an intermediate level and will require to know how to cast on with a Tubular cast-on and bind off with a Tubular Bind Off, increase and decrease, make short rows, knit in the round.
