Anew Sweater

€7.50

design: Yuka Tomioka

Description

Anew Sweater features a familiar stitch pattern that I used in a Snowflake Poncho, although the construction was reconsidered and it has more sophisticated details. A series of little eyelet cables flowing from the neck to the hem creates a delicate and feminine mood, yet the side splits make this sweater casual and comfy.

I hope this sweater will be a staple in your wardrobe.

- Yuka Tomioka

Anew Sweater is worked from the top down. First, the collar featuring an eyelet cable pattern is worked in the round. Then, the yoke is worked back and forth at first with short rows to make the back higher while making raglan increase at the same time. It is worked again in the round to the underarms while continuing on raglan increases. Once the stitches are divided into the body and sleeves at the underarms, it is worked in the round until the start of side splits. Then the front and the back is worked back and forth separately in the eyelet cable pattern, which flows from the collar to the hem, through the raglans.

The sleeves are worked in the round in stockinette stitch and tapered every few rounds, and the eyelet cable pattern is worked at the cuffs.
