Description
A perfect mid-season sweater knitted seamlessly from the bottom up for knitting softly for your little ones! Fun to knit and lovely to wear….The grown-up version is available here.
SIZES
2 (4, 6, 8, 10, 12) years
Shown in size 4 years in “poivre” and “nuit d’été”.
GAUGE
22 sts x 32 rows = 4 x 4” 10 x 10cm in stockinette stitch with the larger needles, after blocking.
YARN AND MATERIALS
3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5) skeins of De Rerum Natura “Ulysse” (202yds 185m / 50g, pure French merino) or around 459 (536, 623, 711, 798, 908) yds420 (490, 570, 650, 730, 830) m equivalent yarn with the same gauge (main color, MC) and 38 (44, 44, 55, 60, 66) yds 35 (40, 40, 50, 55, 60) m of the same yarn in contrasting color (CC).
One US #4 3.5mm circular needle (24” 60cm) or size required to obtain the indicated gauge, and one US #2.5 3mm circular needle for the edgings,
Double pointed needles in the same sizes (you can use circular needles only, with the magic loop method),
2 markers,
Scrap yarn to place the stitches on hold and mark the sleeves.
CONSTRUCTION
• Bottom-up and seamless construction,
• The sleeves are knitted from the top down starting from the armholes, and shaped with short rows.
