A book featuring 17 knitting patterns designed by Ronja Hakalehto and published by Laine

184 pages, in English.

Description

Unfolding Landscapes features 17 beautiful knits inspired by a journey through Northern Finland. Ronja Hakalehto has designed patterns perfect for your travels, such as an effortless sweater for hiking trails, a cosy shawl to wrap up in by the campfire, and a light T-shirt or dress for those hot summer days by the water.

The book has designs for everyone in the family, and a variety of techniques from intricate colourwork and cables to elegantly simple stitches. Inspired by nature, shared moments, and the joy of travel, these patterns invite you on an adventure – whether to unexplored side paths or the peace of a log cabin.

NOTES ON THE PATTERN

The sweater is worked top-down starting at the back neck. The upper back is worked flat to the the underarms. The upper front is picked up along the shoulders and worked flat with the neckline shaping down to the underarms. The pieces are then joined and the body is then worked in the round to the hem. The sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes. Sleeves are worked in the round using either the Magic Loop technique or double-pointed needles. The neckline ribbing is worked last.
